Sue Scammell Interiors provides an interior design service which incorporates consultation, project management, material sourcing and fitting. All elements of curtain making and soft furnishings are designed and produced in our own well equipped studio and workshop. Design projects range from individual homes designed specifically to meet the desires and personal tastes of the owner to prestigious commercial projects which include restaurants, holiday homes and country homes which have to fulfill a variety of criteria to satisfy the professional needs of each business.

Following an education in art and art history and obtaining a degree in textile & technology. Sue Scammell's career began as a Jacquard designer in woven cloth. She then went on to work for Alexander Furnishing in Wigmore Street, London W1 for four years providing colour advice, sourcing fabrics and using her detailed knowledge of fabrics to advise on weights, drapability, wearability and suitability for interior themes. Sue then went on to work at Omega Furniture in Kensington High Street in London in order to gain in-depth knowledge of the furniture industry and suppliers. She also successfully designed, set up and stocked the curtain department within Omega Furniture. With the wealth of knowledge and experience gained from working with these companies, she set up her own consultancy in London and several years later relocated to the West Country where Sue Scammell Interiors has built up a considerable reputation for providing high calibre interior designs for the private and commercial sectors.
